The Private Institute of Tropical Agriculture (INPRAT) located in Adzopé on 70 hectares in a rural area, is the very first private agricultural establishment in Ivory Coast created in 1989 by the Honorable YAPO ACHI CHRISTOPHE.

It brings together several areas of agricultural training, namely agriculture, livestock farming, agricultural machinery, fish farming, agronomic sciences, horticulture, etc. Having started with the vocational secondary CAP, BEP, BT, the initial objective was to contribute to the reduction of unemployment through self-employment. Views the solicitations of the market, he then opened:

in 1997 the cycle of higher technician certificates (BAC +2) in agriculture,
in 2012 the cycle of Agricultural Techniques Engineers (BAC +5).

The expected outlet for the creation of these training cycles was self-employment with the installation of young graduates to contribute to the professionalization and modernization of Ivorian agriculture. But in fact, the first graduates, once in the field through internships, were recruited by structures working in the many branches of agriculture:

speculation production structures dedicated to export (sugar cane, coffee, cocoa, oil palm, rubber, pineapple, banana, etc.),
processing structures,
agribusiness,
agricultural supervision and extension structures.
